Calella's main festival
The main festivals are the heart of the local calendar, a reflection of the Mediterranean identity and open spirit of the Maresme region. For several days, the city dresses up with parades, concerts, fairs, and activities for all ages. The streets are filled with color, the squares with music, and the balconies with flowers.
In August, the Festa Major de La Minerva marks the beginning of summer with shows, fireworks, and traditional dances. And in late May or early June, the Festa de Sant Quirze i Santa Julita combines religious tradition and popular culture in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere.
These are days of shared joy, where neighbors and visitors celebrate together the Mediterranean essence, amidst good music, gastronomy and the unmistakable festive atmosphere of the Barcelona Coast.
